Lucía Egaña Rojas holds a Ph.D. in Audiovisual Communication and also has studied Art, Aesthetics, and Creative Documentary. As an artist, she works on projects that problematize the construction of social imaginaries and the sources of hegemonic knowledge. Her interests span feminisms, methodologies, technology, North-South power relations, colonial and migratory processes, extractivism, and error. Her projects materialize in artistic production, writing, research, pedagogy, and self-institutional practices. Her educational practice walks between academic spaces and pedagogies in informal learning contexts. She has been a teacher and member of the academic direction of the Independent Studies Program (PEI) of the Museum of Contemporary Art of Barcelona (MACBA); a member of the Faculty of Fine Arts of the Universidad de Barcelona; guest professor in the M.A. in Gender Studies at the Universidad de Chile and at in the MUECA M.A. (UMH); and also participates in the FIC research group (Fractalities and Critical Research) at the Universidad Autónoma de Barcelona. She organized the Post-Pornography Festival Muestra Marrana and in 2011 made the documentary Mi sexualidad es una creación artística. Currently, she co-directs the Institute of Porn Studies. In her writing, she explores different formats, from fiction to essay, through poetic prose, manifesto, and academic text. She is co-author of Enciclopedia del amor en los tiempos del porno [A Love Encyclopedia in the Times of Porn] (Cuarto Propio, 2014; Trío Editorial, 2020), along with Josefa Ruiz-Tagle; and author of Atrincheradas en la carne. Lecturas en torno a las prácticas postpornográficas [Entrenched in the Flesh. Readings on Postpornographic Practices (Bellaterra, 2018). She co-edited Acá soy la que se fue (Tictac Ediciones, 2019) along with Caroline Betemps and, along with Paulina Varas, Una cartografía extraña (Metales Pesados, 2021). She is currently completing the projects “Subnormal Methodologies” and “Decentering the gaze to broaden the vision.” She participates in the M.A.M.I Museum, in the Centro de Estudios de la Naturaleza Extractiva (CENEx), in the Real Archivo Sudaca, and in the Pluriversidad Nómada, the latter promoted together with Chimera Rosa.

Javiera Manzi is a sociologist and archivist (Universidad de Chile), educator and independent researcher. In her work, she focuses on the intersections between art, politics and social movements. She is co-author of the book Resistencia Gráfica. Dictadura en Chile [Graphic Resistance. Dictatorship in Chile], published by LOM in 2016. She has written book chapters and journal articles on the relationship between image, activisms and street interventions. Between the years 2018 and 2022 she was the coordinator of the Red Conceptualismos del Sur [Conceptualisms of the South Network]. Javiera is a militant of the Coordinadora Feminista 8M [8M Feminist Coordinator] and was the Coordinadora spokesperson between 2019 and 2020. She was part of the editorial team of the book La huelga feminista Va! Historias de un proceso en Curso [The Feminist Strike is Happening! Histories of an Ongoing Process], published by Tiempo Robado in 2021. She has written multiple articles and book chapters on politics and feminist strategy in the context of the Chilean uprising, the constitutional process, and the recent electoral conjunctures. She was an advisor for the representative Alondra Carrillo at the Constitutional Convention. Recently she was in charge of the #AprueboFeminista campaign of Comando Nacional de Movimientos Sociales por el Apruebo Nueva Constitución.

 

Sibila Sotomayor Van Rysseghem is a performing artist and educator, based in Valparaíso, Chile. She holds a B.A. in Theatre from Universidad de Valparaíso, and a dual M.A in Sociology and Anthropology from Université Catholique de Louvain, Belgium. She is one of the founding members of colectivo LASTESIS, an artistic, feminist, and interdisciplinary collective, and creators of the performance un violador en tu camino [a rapist in your path] that denounces violence against women and LGBTQIA people, and which was replicated in over 50 countries around the world. She has extensive background and self-taught training in flamenco dance, and, in the last few years, she has explored sound design linked to performance and has started her DJ project as espionaje.japonés. She has published multiple essays and is co-editor of the books Antología Feminista (2021) and Quemar el miedo (2021), both with colectivo LASTESIS. Sibila is currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Social Sciences at the Universidad de Chile and works as a lecturer and researcher at Universidad de Valparaíso.
